7th June 2022 Organized by Department of Botany and Green Youth Movement Faculty of Science and Technology, GC Women University, Faisalabad World environment day is the most legendary day for environmental activities. Since 1974, it has been celebrated every year on 5th of June and aims to engage the people from various communities and sectors worldwide for the wellbeing of our planet earth. The theme of this year’s (2022) celebrations is “Only One Earth” calls for transformative changes to policies and choices to enable cleaner, greener and sustainable living in coherence with nature. Feeling the importance and need of this day the Department of Botany, GC Women University, Faisalabad in collaboration with Green Youth Movement organized a walk on 07 June 2022. The chief guest of the event Bilal Feroze Joiya (CEO FWMC), Muteeb Virk (Manger Communication) as well as Mr. Ziaulmunim, Jafar Hussain, Ali Imran and Muhammad Usman has joined the walk in front of Administrative Block with Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq, Vice Chancellor GCWUF, Heads of various teaching and administrative departments including Mr. Asif A. Malik (Registrar), Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli (Director Academics and Coordinator Faculty of Science and Technology), Dr. Syeda Samina Tahira (Coordinator Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences), Dr. Nousheen Syed (Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences), Dr. Rukhsana Baloch (Faculty of Humanities and Languages), Ms. Asma Aziz (Director Students affair) and Dr. Abida Kausar (Incharge, Department of Botany) and students of Botany department participated in the walk.
