Two-Day International Conference on Recent Advances in Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences (IC-RAINS 2022) by Department of Chemistry, GC Women University, Faisalabad. A Two-Day International Conference on Recent Advances in Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences (IC-RAINS 2022) was organized by Department of Chemistry, GCWUF dated 27-28 January 2022. Prof Dr Robina Farooq, vice chancellor GCWUF was Patron in Chief, Dr Zill I Huma Nazli, Chairperson Department of Chemistry was National Chair and Prof. Dr Imran Asgher, Department of Applied Physics, Aalto University, Finland was International Chair. Dr Farhat Jubeen, IC-RAINS 2022 Secretary, Dr Abida Kausar, Dr Sadia Nazir, Dr Rehana Naseer, Dr Faiza Nazir, Dr Shagufta Parveen and Dr Nusrat Shafiq were the organizing team. IC-RAINS 2022 was sponsored by Interloop Private Ltd Faisalabad and Paak book store. Around 100 abstracts were received under 8 thematic areas in response to call for papers. Journal of Chemical Society of Pakistan, Wires Energy and environment and Nano-energy Advances were in collaboration to publish the work of authors presenting in the IC-RAINS 2022. Twenty plenary/invited speakers presented their talks in IC-RAINS 2022. Two hundred students, researchers and faculty members from different universities attended the IC-RAINS 2022. Twelve Chairs and cochairs of technical sessions were senior distinguished professors from various universities of Faisalabad including University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, GC University, Faisalabad and National Textile University, Faisalabad. First day of IC-RAINS 2022 started by recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran by Ms Hafiza Hafsa Majeed followed by Naat-e-Rasool e Maqbool (SAW) by Ms Hira Rafique. In the inaugural session, international chair, Prof Dr Imran Asgher, National Chair, Dr Zill-i-Huma Nazli and Patron in Chief, Prof Dr Robina Farooq shared their remarks about the conference theme, need of organizing such events and welcomed the participants of IC-RAINS. Plenary talk for Day-I was by Prof Dr Mark Molony from Oxford University, UK, who delivered his talk through zoom meeting, participants showed great interest and there was a deliberate discussion after the talk. Second Plenary talk of the day was delivered Prof. Dr Muhammad Saeed Iqbal, Foreman Christian College University, Lahore. A shield of honor was presented to the plenary speak at the end of talk. An enchanting gathering of participants enjoyed tea and poster session in the sports ground GCWUF. Poster evaluation committee evaluated the posters with reference to the guidelines provided by poster session convener, Dr Abida Kausar, and work presented. After tea, two parallel technical sessions held at Jinnah Auditorium, GCWUF and Video Conference Room, Admin block GCWUF. Prof Dr Khalid Mehmood Zia, GCWUF, Dr Muhammad Kashif Saleemi, UAF, Prof Dr Haq Nawaz Bhattii, UAF and Dr Muhammad Shahid, UAF chaired and cochaired the two sessions and Dr Akhter Hayat, COMSATS Lahore and Dr Muhammad Javed, UAF were invited speakers of parallel sessions, around 6-8 oral presentations were there in both the technical sessions. Afterwards, a delicious lunch was enjoyed at the Sports Ground, GCWUF. Third technical session of the day was in Jinnah Auditorium and Prof Dr Farooq Anwar, Director ORIC, University of Sargodha and Dr Kashif Saleemi, UAF were the invited speakers and the session was chaired by Dr Misbah Sultan, University of the Punjab, Lahore and co-chaired by Dr Asim Mansha, GCUF, there were 6 oral presentations in the session. There was a break ok one hour all the participants IC-RAINS 2022 enjoyed fun gala and dinner at Chiniot Palace, Faisalabad. Day-II of IC-RAINS 2022 commenced with the beneficent Name of ALLAH (SWT) by recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran followed by Naat-e-Rasool e Maqbool. Plenary talk of day-II was delivered by Prof. Dr. Najam ul Haq, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan through zoom meeting. After tea, three technical sessions held parallel at Jinnah Auditorium, Video Conference Room and Committee Room GCWUF, sessions were chaired and co-chaired by Prof. Dr Tahir Hussain, NTU, Prof. Dr. Abid Rashid, UOE, Prof. Dr. Kaleem Khan Khosa, GCUF, Dr. Matloob Ahmed, GCUF and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem Qaisar UOS, Prof Dr Khurram Joya, Dr Hammad Majeed, UOM, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rafique from University of Central Punjab, Lahore and Dr Muhammad Shahid, Department of Biochemistry, UAF were the invited speakers of the sessions. At closing session of IC-RAINS 2022, Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal, Vice Chancellor Faisalabad Medical University, Prof Dr Khaliq Ur Rehman, Rector, The University of Faisalabad, Prof Dr Saleem Farooq Shaukat, Director, COMSATS Sahiwal Campus, Prof Dr Muhammad Zubair, Ex-Vice Chancellor, GCUF and Prof Dr Anas Sarwar Qureshi, Pro-Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Prof Dr Robina Farooq, vice chancellor, GCWUF and Dr Zill-i-Huma Nazli shared their valuable remarks and word of wisdom with the participants of IC-RAINS 2022. Boquete and shields of honor were presented to the chief guests, guest of Honor, Patron in Chief and National chair. Certificates were distributed among the IC-RAINS organizing team. The guests leave the Jinnah auditorium after national anthem for a delicious lunch in sports ground, GCWUF. An online session was held as last technical session of Day-II, Prof Dr. Zeliha SELAMOGLU, head of department. Nigde Omer Halisdemir University Medicine Faculty Medical Biology Department Nigde, Turkey, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ali Khan, Wuhan Textile University, Wuhan, China. Dr Muhammad Adnan, Postdoctoral Research Associate, Yasir Waheed, PhD. Associate Professor. Foundation University Islamabad and Dr Sharjeel Abid, National Textile University, Faisalabad was invited speakers and around 70 participants joined online through zoom meeting.
