Under the directions of Prime Minister’s office, issued to Chief Secretary (Task ID: 662) dated March 12, 2021; Department of Botany in collaboration with Estate office, GC Women University Faisalabad conducted in-campus plantation drive, 2021 on Tuesday March 16, 2021. Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq, Vice Chancellor GCWUF initiated the activity by planting Lady-finger Palm in the premises of GCWUF. She appreciated the efforts of Department of Botany and Estate office for this noble cause. Heads of various teaching and administrative departments including Mrs. Rahat Afza (Registrar), Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli (Director Advanced Studies), Mrs. Rizwana Tanveer Randhawa (Controller of Examination), Dr. Affaf Ibrahim (Coordinator Faculty of Science and Technology), Prof. Rakhsanda Shahnaz (Coordinator Faculty of Humanities and Languages), Prof. Farzana Hashmi (Coordinator Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences), Ms. Farzan Azam (Director Sports and HOD Physical Education), Dr. Abida Kausar (Incharge, Department of Botany), Dr. Sadaf Naqvi (Incharge, Department of Urdu), Dr. Rashda Naheed (Icharge, Intermediate Section), Dr. Talat Safdar (HOD, Department of Islamic Studies), and Mr. Irfan (Incharge, State Department) also planted Lemon, Plum, Neem, Pomegranate, Fig, Mulberry and Plumeria trees at various points within the vicinity of University. Faculty members showed great enthusiasm in this activity.
